Amazon Favorites!

If you haven't realized the beauty of Amazon, you certainly will! Initially, I ended up getting an account, along with Amazon Prime, because I needed it for school. I heard it was the cheapest place to get books (rented or bought) so I made an account and it saved me from buying $300 books because Amazon had them for like $30. Thank you, Amazon! Amazon not only has textbooks, I discovered, but many, many, mannny other things. I've purchased things from household items, to clothes, to makeup and tanning supplies.. the list goes on an on. I decided to make a blog post about my favorite Amazon items and share them all with you! Click on any of the pictures below! I always, always, always look at the reviews. I actually trust Amazon reviews more than any other website because I know about 99% of the time, they are genuine.

**I'll keep updating this as I find more things I like**

First up is clothes! I love clothes because they are art, in a sense that they let you express yourself on how you want to look and wear. I've never really thought about becoming a designer or a model, but when I throw something on that I like, it makes me feel good, so why not? Live your best life.

Next up is some beauty and accessories that I love! I have purchased several of these and am totally in love! My favorite would have to be the purple and blue shampoo, just because it makes my hair less brassy and I can't believe how cheap it is!

Finally, some household items that I think would be fun to have around the house! I think the modern look nowadays is rustic with lots of greenery and a pop of color. The color I am always leaning towards is a gold rose but you can really pick any to make your house pop!

If you have any Amazon recommendations that you swear by, let me know so I can add them on! :) As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

2019 Snow

First blog post of the year! I took a break from blogging just because not only was it taking up a lot of my time but my mental health as well. From the 100 blog days, I always felt like I had to post a blog entry or else the world would come crashing down if I didn't. I needed a good break to just have some time to myself, enjoy my life, and just be happy. I know that I love to blog and share things -whether it be outfits, recipes, or thoughts - so I will continue to do that but at my own pace, so please be patient with me :)

I wanted to do a post about my look for the first snowfall of the year! I thought it would be super fun to jump out while it was snowing and take a few quick pictures. Let me tell you - it was NOT quick.. my camera was full of snow and I was freezing cold but it was totally worth it cause it was just soo beautiful being outside while it snowed! I even brought my cat out and she absolutely hated it and ran to go back inside. (Poor thing!!)

My hat is from Amazon (click here) and it's in the color Ivory. It keeps selling out which drives me nuts (!!!!) but my fingers are crossed that it will come back in stock!

My scarf is from Cents of Style called Rome Solid Blanket Scarf in the color Ivory. They have several different colors and even patterns if you're looking for new designs!

My coat is an oldie from Old Navy and I don't think they have this particular color available any longer, but they do have a cute burgundy one (click here) that I think is probably actually even better.

My pants are (of course) from Old Navy (click here). I've raved about these for probably 70 bajillion years but I can't say it enough - they are amazzzzing. Super stretchy. Great mid to high-waist. Stays a true black no matter how many washes. I can't get enough of them.

Lastly, my new favorite boots!! They are from Nine West (click here) and I bought them directly from their website. I love that they are red and that they have these cute little bows on the side! I am obsessed!! I tried them on after wearing my Hunter boots and I can say that they were pretty similar in the quality of keeping my feet away from the snow. I will say that they are shorter than Hunter boots so if you're looking for length, these will be just a tad short!

**If you want to see any of the items in the pictures that I post, you can click here or on 'Shop My Blog' at the top and see it all there!**❤

2019

Goodbye 2018! It felt like yesterday that it was New Years and here we are saying goodbye. To be honest, I didn't want it to be 2018.. I was happily enjoying my 2017 and before I knew it, it got bumped aside. I guess I like odd numbers and those seem to be my favorite years. With that said, I'm soooooo ready for 2019. I have a feeling that it will be my best year yet!

2018 was such a bumpy ride for me. I got a new job and lost it all in the same year. The place that I've been begging to be, I was finally able to be and yet I still wasn't happy. I hate seeing those types of people that no matter how great their circumstances are, they still find a way to be unhappy and that it was making me realize how much I don't want to be one of those people. So for 2019, I will embrace whatever comes my way. I have a feeling that God has something great in store for me and I just need to be patient! (I've also learned to trust my gut feeling. Honestly, I knew I wouldn't stay at this job for very long.. my gut was telling me a year.. and it was right! .. And to those of you who are wondering, no I was not fired.. the company was going through financial issues and had to cut back employees, and sadly, I was one of them 😭)

There were some amazing times in 2018 as well as some rough times. I was able to pay off my entire student loan on my own and it was an amazing feeling that I cannot express. I was also able to move into a new house and embrace the changes of having a new job as well. Unfortunately I did not stay long as this job, but like I said, I need to be patient because bigger and better things will be coming. I was also able to lose 10lbs! (I was sooooo happy about this one!!) Even though things were up and down, I know it was a year of lessons.

I've also learned to cherise people close to you. If somebody chooses to stay by your side, that's something rare and you should never let those people go! My boyfriend is someone that I love with all my heart. I knew I would be with him because he chose to love me - he chose to stick by me - he chose to wipe away my tears - he chose to laugh with me - he chose to give me big bear hugs when I'm upset - no matter what, he chose me and you know what? I choose him. I have never experienced this type of relationship, other than family, until I met him. It's something so genuine and warm that I realize how much I appreciate and love him. I already know that 2019 will be the best for us!

I hope in 2019 that we get to travel more, laugh more, love more, and grow more. I hope our health is at its best and I hope our happiness is at its highest. I actually write down a list of goals every year that I would like to accomplish. I use to think it was silly because it started off as me wanting to buy myself a pair of Ugg boots in 2016. I set it as a list of things I want by the end of the year and to my surprise, I was able to accomplish it!! Soon the list grew longer with more things and evolved into less materialistic items but more internal - wanting happiness, health, enjoying the moment I'm in, etc. Throughout the year, I add dates/times of things that I've checked off my list. Now, every year, I look back and see what I have been able to do and I'm really proud of myself for coming such a long way. My list for 2019 includes to travel more, have excellent health, have a great paying job that I love, pay off my car, lose a couple more pounds, and learning new skill sets. I think the list will include more but so far, I'm pretty happy with how 2019 is starting...

Hey 2018... Thank u, next.
