February

Ahh the month of love. I've always loved Valentine's Day because it brought so many people closer together. Going through elementary school, everyone would give each classmate a card with maybe a lollipop and you would be overfilled with joy when you got your little mailbox full of Valentines. I remember my biggest joy was not seeing what the candy was, but rather who got me a valentine and what kind it was. It made me feel special, as if somebody cared for me. As we got older, instead of each person getting a card, they were only given to friends. I remember seeing so many flowers, stuffed animals, candy, and cards going around but not much for me.

This is my first year that I had a Valentine and to be honest, it felt like any other day- Yes, we did go to Cheesecake Factory and enjoy a very nice meal together (I got a delicious bowl of white chicken chili and he got a yummy fresh grilled salmon!! It was SO good). And yes, he did buy me flowers, a stuffed animal, a heart-eyed emoji balloon, and lots & lots of chocolates, but I've realized that I get treated like this every time I'm with him. He always spoils me by going out of his way to buy me chocolates that I love, or going to the restaurant I've been dying to go to - even though it's Olive Garden about 270 times. (Seriously- I could LIVE at Olive Garden) He even is okay with going to a place that I want to go, even if he is not really wanting to go.

Why you gotta fight with me at Cheesecake? You know I love to go there...

I guess my point is, when you are with the right person, every day is Valentine's Day. It might not make sense but if you have experienced love - true, unconditional love - you will be able to relate to me. For those of you that have not gotten there, I promise you, you will. Every song on the radio, every time you think of something they like, or every time their name lights up in your phone, you will know what I'm talking about. Until you find your soulmate, enjoy you. I was single a long time before he came along and swept me off my feet. Well, I can say that the wait was definitely worth it.

Flowers, Chocolates, Stuffed Animal, and LOVE :)

Alright. Alright. Enough with the mushy love stuff. I'm sorry for not being able to post. I recently got a new job, as I mentioned in my previous post, and I have not gotten time to post more blogs. I will continue to try, as I do love blogging and sharing my thoughts. Look out for the next post.
